A: Our Fine Art Wedding Certificates are beautiful and modern expressions of love that gracefully combine artistic designs with poetic text and/or marriage vows. They are prime objects of artistic expression for couples of every lifestyle and faith, serving as permanent and beautiful symbols of mutual Wedding and partnership.
You custom design your own Fine Art Wedding Certificates by combining the following elements:
- A Fine Art giclee print, individually hand-signed by the artist, Michelle "Shell" Rummel, at the time of production. Our giclee prints - digitally produced, high quality reproductions of Shell's hand-painted designs - are true works of fine art.
- Up to two of our original, extraordinary poetic texts. Or, write your own beautiful text that reflects your unique love.
- Additional personalized information, including:
- The bride and groom's name (first, middle, last, or any combination)
- Whether you have already had a ceremony, or are planning one, you may include information about the location (City, State, Venue) and date of the event
- If you would like, we can include signature lines for the bride and the groom, as well as for friends, relatives, witnesses and officiants
- If you so desire, your parents' names can also be included

A: A Giclee print is a digitally produced, high quality reproduction of an original work of art. Giclee prints offer superior brilliance, detail and depth, making them a logical choice for our Wedding Certificates.
Our Giclee printing process combines technologically advanced large format printing processes, traditional, hands-on craftsmanship, and high-quality fine art watercolor papers, resulting in reproductions that are faithful to the original works of art, particularly in terms of color saturation. Due to the wonderful art paper that is available today, Giclee prints have the same look, texture and feel of an original work of art, making Giclees very authentic reproductions. We use only archival-quality inks and papers, which produce top quality reproductions that ensure the greatest possible image longevity.
Our Giclee prints are individually hand-signed and numbered by the artist, Shell, at the time of production.
Our Giclee prints, reproductions of hand-painted designs, are true works of fine art. We take great pride in the fact that our designs were all originally hand-painted rather than originally designed on a computer.

A: Our images reproduce the colors of our original artwork as closely as possible. Great care is taken to match the color saturation, intensity and contrast of the originals. However, due to the many computer configurations available today, variations in color accuracy are likely. Colors often look different on different monitors.

A: When you create your Wedding Certificate, you may:
- Choose up to two of our original, extraordinary poetic texts; or
- Write your own beautiful text/vows that reflect your unique love.
We invite you to scroll through our original and poetic text options below. If you choose our texts, the texts will be added to your Wedding Certificate at no additional charge. If our texts are not the perfect match for the bride and the groom, we encourage you to create your own customized text/vows/poem/other sentiment as part of the creative process (customization fees will apply).

Absolutely! We can accommodate many special customization requests! Feel free to share your vision with us and we will try to make it happen.
- Text Customization Option 1 ($100)
This fee is charged if you wish to write and provide your own New custom text. If you choose this option, please provide your text via an MSWORD document, either by fax or by e-mail to info@WeddingArtistree.com. We will be unable to provide you with an Order Confirmation until we have received all of your customized texts in the proper format.
- Text Customization Option 2 ($30)
This fee is charged if you wish to make minor changes to our existing standard texts. If you choose this option, please provide your edited text via an MSWORD document, either by fax or by e-mail to info@WeddingArtistree.com. We will be unable to provide you with an Order Confirmation until we have received all of your customized texts in the proper format.
- Design Customization - Phrase Change - ($35)
This fee is charged when a customer wants to SWAP one of our standard phrases for another.
- Design Customization - Write Your Own Phrase - ($35)
This fee is charged when a customer wants to provide their own phrase. Kindly send the phrase to us in a word doc.
- Design Customization - Names in design - ($25/pair of names)
This fee is charged when a customer requests us to artistically incorporate their first names into the design.
- Design Customization - Date in design - ($15)
This fee is charged when a customer requests us to artistically incorporate their wedding date into the design.
- Design Customization - Words in design - ($10/word)
This fee is charged when a customer requests us to artistically incorporate special words that have personal significance into the design.
- Design Customization - Font color change- ($20)
This fee is charged when a customer requests us to change the font color of the text and/or phrase in the design.
- Design Customization - Recolorization - ($85/hour)
This fee is charged when a customer requests us to artistically change the overall color palette of the design or elements of the design.
- Design Customization - Wedding Prep Option - ($85-Premiere/$75 Modern Art )
We know your time is valuable, and so we are excited to offer our clients the convenience of our popular Wedding Prep Package. This premium service features professional mounting and matting of your Certificate in an elegant neutral white matt, with a protective overlay so that you can sign your Certificate and then display the protected artwork at your ceremony, hassle free. Our Wedding Prep Package conveniently includes - free of charge - a black archival ink, acid-free pen for signing your Certificate.
Please note, that due to the oversize packaging, additional shipping fees apply. Also, additional time may be needed to prepare your order in this manner.

If you have already had a ceremony, or are planning one, you may want to include signature lines on your Wedding Certificate as a way to honor the special people that were present at your ceremony.
Even if you are not planning a ceremony, signature lines can be added to any print.
We can include signature lines for the bride and the groom, as well as for friends, relatives, witnesses and officiants.
Signature lines are Standard Customization items and no additional fees apply!

A: Once you submit your Invitation Order Form, the following steps will apply:
- We will review the Order Form for completeness and to determine if we have any questions regarding the information you have provided us.
- If the Order Form is not complete, or if we have any questions regarding the information provided, we will contact you in order to confirm and finalize your order.
- Once the information you have provided has been confirmed and the Order Form has been finalized, and we have received full payment information, we will provide you with an "Order Confirmation" by e-mail or by fax, as requested by you. Your order will not be considered complete, and production of your order will not begin, until you have received an "Order Confirmation" from Shell Artistree. Our goal is to process every order as soon as possible. The timing of our processing of your order (and therefore your receipt of an Order Confirmation), however, depends on a number of factors, including the date of your event, the event dates of our other customers and backlog of orders. As a result, you may not receive an Order Confirmation right away, but that does not mean we are unaware of your order. Please feel free at any time to contact us about the status of your order.
- For Orders sub totaling $1000 or more, a 50% non-refundable deposit of your order total will be billed to your credit card at the time we process your order. The balance will be processed upon approval of the proof.
Samples
We understand that sometimes our clients prefer to see a sample of our products before placing an order. Many of our products are available in sample format for purchase. A Sample Order Form is located on our websites. Typically, your Sample(s) will be printed and shipped from Shell Artistree within three business days.
Envelopes Ahead of Time
We offer this service to clients wishing to receive their envelopes ahead of the rest of their order so that their calligrapher may begin addressing them. Our fee for this service is $45.
Calligraphic Services for Envelope Addressing
We offer computerized calligraphy services for your invitations. For our wedding invitation clients only, we offer coordination of computerized calligraphic services with an outside professional lettering company for a $75.00 service fee. In addition to the per piece price, our fee covers the coordination of your prepared guest list and/or return address on the envelope(s) and shipment of the envelopes to the calligrapher and back to our studio for final distribution to you. A per piece price list is available on our website. Calligraphic Services generally require us to have a minimum of 4 weeks lead time and are not available for Rush orders. Please contact us for the availability of this service.
Layout/Design Customization
Design fees are billed in one hour increments at $85 per hour. We can typically provide up to two lay out designs per hour of design time. Additional customization fees may apply for unique design requests. Please contact us for a design cost estimate.
Turn Around Time
Our typical turnaround time for production of our products is 4 weeks. We charge a $250 rush fee for Invitation orders requiring a turnaround time of 3 weeks or less. Please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate your rush order and we advise you to speak with us directly before placing your order. Please plan accordingly and allow additional time for custom orders.
General Policies

Cancellation Policy
Because your Invitation Order is custom printed just for you, please understand that cancellations of your order result in additional expenses to us.
For orders sub totaling $1000 or more: When you place your order with us, we process it and bill you for 50% of the total invoice amount. This is a non-refundable fee. In the unlikely event of an order cancellation, we retain the deposit in full.
For orders sub totaling less than $1000: In the unlikely event of an order cancellation, at the time of cancellation, we will bill you for 25% of the total invoice amount to cover our expenses.
Restocking Fee: In the event that you need to cancel a portion of your order before we go to print, we will charge a restocking fee equivalent to 20% of the retail cost of that portion of your order.
Once we ship your order, we regret that all sales are final and no refunds or returns are available.

A: Shipping options and costs are listed below. We utilize UPS for our world-wide shipping needs. In choosing a shipping option, please consider the following: the products we create are works of fine art. Wedding Artistree's production facilities are located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Long ground-based deliveries (i.e., coast-to-coast) could potentially increase the risk of inadvertent damage to your Order while in transit.
Shipping Options For Certificates "Wedding Prep" and "Sign In Board" Packages:
- Second Day Service
(generally provides delivery by 5:00 p.m. the second business day to most points after shipping, but we cannot guarantee arrival within that time)
Shipping Cost
East Coast - $50 || West Coast - $65
- Next Afternoon Service
(generally provides delivery by 3:00 p.m. the next business day to most points after shipping, but we cannot guarantee arrival within that time)

Q: What is your proof policy?
A: Invitation and Coordinating Accessories Proof Information:
Proofs are provided to allow our clients to check the content, overall text placement, artwork elements and layout before we go to print. Please be aware that an electronic file proof( PDF, jpg, Tif) does not provide accurate color representation! Each computer monitor is different and therefore, the colors you see on your screen are likely not accurate representations of the final product.
We will provide you with a "Proof" of your order for your review and approval generally within seven to ten business days from our providing you with the "Order Confirmation". (However, for extensive customization, we generally require an additional week to provide you with a Proof).
The first proof is complimentary. The first proof is your opportunity to make any substantive or layout changes. Subsequent proofs with any changes will result in a $25 per proof fee. Please take care when providing Invitation text and wording files to us to ensure their accuracy before placing your order. Although we take care to proofread and spell check the electronic text files that you provide to Shell Artistree, we do not assume responsibility for spelling, grammar, and punctuation or syntax errors in WORD files provided to Shell Artistree LLC. It is your responsibility to proofread the final proof.

Wedding Vow Certificates
Proofs are provided to allow our clients to check the content, overall text placement, artwork elements and layout before we go to print. We will provide you with a "Proof" of your order for your review and approval generally within seven to ten business days from our providing you with the "Order Confirmation". (However, for extensive customization, we generally require an additional week to provide you with a Proof).
We recognize that you may decide to change an order (spelling of name, change of color, adding or deleting middle names, etc.) after it has been placed, and after you have received your Order Confirmation email. We always try to be as accommodating as possible. However, because each Vow Certificate is custom created one at a time, please understand that changes to an order after we have begun to process it, result in additional time and expense to us.
Therefore, our proof policy states that we may charge a “Change Fee” to cover our formatting time when changes to an order occur after we have begun to process the order. Our Change Fee is $25-$50. In order to avoid being charged this fee, please make sure that you provide us with complete and accurate information at the time you place your order.
Although we take care to proofread and spell check the electronic text files that you provide to Shell Artistree, we do not assume responsibility for spelling, grammar, and punctuation or syntax errors in WORD files provided to Shell Artistree LLC. It is your responsibility to proofread the final proof.
